Addicted to Gadgets

Gadgets ,I don't know how many would admit it but it does excite you , it sure does excite me . Some people buy it for status ,some buy it cause its cool ,some buy it cause its new and very few ppeople buy it cause they need it. It sure is one of the place where money goes down the drain . Its amazing how fast technology is growing and how we adapt to it so easily . Its kind of scary too in a way . I am a gadgets person and I have got my hands on everything I can own right now from the latest phone to laptop to digital cameras to handycam but my cravings for a new one really doen't stop , I know i am kind of an implusive buyer but it sure is additive to me .

Music

Although music has always been a great influence in people's life over the years ,I feel people are more and more into it these days, music comes in all types , a person is lured to be unloyal to one stream of music ,which is good .Its even difficult to judge who is better and especially in the Hollywood scene looks like if you have the mullah its quite easy to be a singer.Everybody wants to try their hand out in music cause they are done with everything esle,people like Linsay Lohan ,Brittany Murphy and most shocking Paris Hilton decide one day looks more like out of boredom or attention decide to become singers and yet successfully go with the flow.You start thinking how many talented people are around or is it true that technology can make perfection as long as you have the money.Well hard to figure out but as long as its music somebody or the other always have the ears for it .I guess that the magic of Music .
Look at the band like Maroon 5 ,I never thought I could like them but listening to them I realize they are really fantastic and have actually got addicted to them ,I was wandering what type of music the would come under and found out that they come under Neo Soul Rock which is quite surprising.(Neo soul (also known as nu soul) is a musical genre that fuses contemporary R&B, 1970s style soul, and hip hop. It is the third major sub-genre of contemporary R&B, after the new jack swing of the late 1980s/ early 1990s and the hip hop soul of the early to mid 1990s).I think they are very much like Oasis and at the same time very much close to Wallflowers.Well thats just my opinon.

Never Argue with a Woman

One morning the husband returns after several hours of fishing and
decides to take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, the wife
decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors,
and reads her book.

Along comes a Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside the
woman and says, "Good morning, Ma'am. What are you doing?"

"Reading a book," she replies, (thinking, "Isn't that obvious?")
"You're in a Restricted Fishing Area," he informs her.
"I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading."
"Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start
at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write you up."
"If you do that, I'll have to charge you with sexual assault," says
the woman.
"But I haven't even touched you," says the game warden.
"That's true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you
could start at any moment."
"Have a nice day ma'am," and he left.

MORAL: Never argue with a woman who reads. It's likely she can also
think.

oNe sWEeT mEmOrY

It was 1st April,2001 ,when one of the music legends DEEP PURPLE came on a tour to Bangalore and I was really exicted about it cause I was just about to join my job in Bangalore at the same time . And I was like I am not going to miss this. I reached Bangalore and checked into the hotel, the Winsor Sheraton .And the best is yet to come, the people I work for are the Co-Sponsers of the concert so I asked my boss for the passes .And did I get ? not only did I get the passes I got a VVIP backstage passses which they themselves are using and thats not all,we were there backstage and took photographs and Autographs . The concert began and guess where we get to watch right under the stage even before the camera people and we were actually one feet away ,it was just amazing and when Steve Morse was throwing his guitar pick's it all fell on us after we got ouselves a handful we threw it to the crowd.It was just fabulous watching and hearing them play 'Smoke on the Water ' just a feet away from you.
The concert finish and we went back to the hotel and guess what DEEP PURPLE happen to be in the same hotel, I had to go to my room so I took the lift and no kidding the BAND came in the lift with us. I still get goosebumbs everytime I think about it.

Last night was the second audition of the SUPERNOVA, and if thats how its gonna be then the Supernova are gonna fail finding somebody,they were lousy. I know how jittering it must be to try and impress three legends of the some of the most famous Rock group in history but do you need to try so hard and mess up the whole thing.Just because they are rockers you think being cocky with them is cool and thinking they would like it ,I don't think so. Its far more than that , they need somebody to fit in.Ithink some of them should not be there at all.

LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP

I ,like everybodyelse would still think Zinedine Zidane is ONE in this World Cup. But a thought comes to my mind what's got into him that made him do what he did ,what colud have been so bad, believe me I was all for him but I have to agree France has lost because of him .

His name is going to be remembered definitly not for all the trophies he hoisted, all the glory he brought France, all those sparks of magic that flew off his feet game after game, year after year.All of a sudden, it's almost like they never happened,because the most gifted player of his generation, playing his last and final match on the world stage, will be remembered now for something else - petulance, Careless,selfishness.

All because of one moment of tragic fury. In the 110th minute of Sunday's World Cup final, Zidane lost his cool,lowered his head and butted Italy defender Marco Materazzi full-on in the chest.

Ever wonder about the abbreviation A.S.A.P.? Generally we think of it in terms of even more hurry and stress in our lives. Maybe if we think of this abbreviation in a different manner, we will begin to find a new way to deal with those rough days along the way.

A Email from my Aunt

I just had one of the most amazing experiences of my life, and wanted to share it with my family and dearest friends:

I was driving home from a meeting this evening about 5, stuck in traffic on Colorado Blvd., and the car started to choke and splutter and die - I barely managed to coast, crusing, into a gas station, glad only that I would not be blocking traffic and would have a somewhat warm spot to wait for the tow truck. It wouldn't even turn over.

Before I could make the call, I saw a woman walking out of the "quickie mart" building, and it looked like she slipped on some ice and fell into a Gas pump, so I got out to see if she was okay.

When I got there, it looked more like she had been overcome by sobs than that she had fallen; she was a young woman who looked really haggard with dark circles under her eyes. She dropped something as I helped her up, and I picked it up to give it to her. It was a nickel. At that moment, everything came into focus for me: the crying woman, the ancient Suburban crammed full of stuff with 3 kids in the back (1 in a car seat), and the gas pump reading $4.95.
I asked her if she was okay and if she needed help, and she just kept saying "I don't want my kids to see me crying," so we stood on the other side of the pump from her car.

She said she was driving to California and that things were very hard for her right now. So I asked, "And you were praying?" That made her back away from me a little, but I assured her I was not a crazy person and said, "He heard you, and He sent me." I took out my card and swiped it through the card reader on the pump so she could fill up her car completely, and while it was fueling, walked to the next door McDonald's and bought 2 big bags of food, some gift certificates for more, and a big cup of coffee. She gave the food to the kids in the car, who attacked it like wolves, and we stood by the pump eating fries and talking a little.

She told me her name, and that she lived in Kansas City. Her boyfriend left 2 months ago and she had not been able to make ends meet. She knew she wouldn't have money to pay rent Jan 1, and finally in desperation had finally called her parents, with whom she had not spoken in about 5 years.

They lived in California and said she could come live with them and try to get on her feet there.So she packed up everything she owned in the car She told the kids they were going to California for Christmas, but not that they were going to live there.I gave her my gloves, a little hug and said a quick prayer with her for safety on the road.

As I was walking over to my car, she said, "So, are you like an angel or something?" .This definitely made me cry. I said, "Sweetie, at this time of year angels are really busy, so sometimes God uses regular people."It was so incredible to be a part of someone else's miracle. And of course, you guessed it, when I got in my car it started right away and got me home with no problem. I'll put it in the shop tomorrow to check, but I suspect the mechanic won't find anything wrong.

Sometimes the angels fly close enough to you that you can hear the flutter of their wings.

Where there is self doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace, In Jesus' precious name. Amen."
